Gacktophiles:
A Gackt Camui Fansite

News: 7/9/2009

A tad bit late, but Gackt's 36th birthday was on the fourth. *Applaud~* Yeah sweet, epic, yay yay~ At any rate, I've decided to move the photos domain over to Photobucket. I will, however, be keeping the Daily Gackt thing here and trying to remember to put a good Gackt pic up every week. Since, I will be changing it to Weekly Gackt because I never freaking remember to add pictures into that blasted album. ;x

Also in new business, I'm planning to go to the opening of Bunraku in 2010. Probably in a local theater. For those of you that are stalkers out there, I live in Kingston, New York. If anyone plans to go, let's make plans to meet up. I plan to make Gacktophiles like myself there. To be more epic, I plan to make a T-Shirt that has a gorgeous pic of that gorgeous man on the chest of the shirt and the website's URL underneath it, just to be a dork. Hope to see Gacktophiles there! <3

In light of the recent death of Michael Jackson, I thought I'd say something about artists in general. Wheather you followed his career from Thriller to death, or were against him from square one, we can all at least agree; he was a person. Reguardless of the skin color or sins he may or may not have committed, he was a heart beating and a sould coursing with creativity. I was not an avid fan of him, but people all across the world were brought to their knees at the news of his death. And perhaps this will make us think of how lucky we are. We all know we're lucky to have Gackt here on Earth with us, but despite his 500th birthday, we all have only a limited time in which to love our musicians. And now I regret that I didn't pay more attention to music Michael created. I listened to Earth Song earlier today and nearly cried. And I immediately ran to my Gackt folder and listened to my favorite song in which I lost it. Despite Gackt's immagination, he will not live forever. And when he does, the world will implode... >_> Okay... maybe not... but we'll all cry our eyes out. And it made me think about what will happen when all of my favourite artists leave this world. And the effect it will have on everyone across the planet. We should take Michael's death as an oppertunity to open our hearts and souls to the music that might be out there that we might regret not listening to. I regret not knowing who Hide was before he passed. Because his music was incredible. We should open our hearts to the world of music and take advantage of the lyrics and rythms across the world and, even though we'll all still love Gackt more, we should cherish it. Cherish the love the musicians have for their music and their fans, and cherish the comfort, memories, and lullabies they write for us.
